BBQ Pizza Pan vs. Pizza Stone

 Pizza is one of the best foods ever created.  Really good pizza is Heaven! I have been making pizza since I was a teenager, and only recently discovered the best crust ever. Thanks go to ATK (America's Test Kitchen) they figured it out, then taught me. Now if only I could find the best pizza sauce, actually Papa Johns makes a pretty darn good sauce, I just can't figure it out.

Well It turns out that one should pay attention to what one is doing. Due in part to having a broken smeller, and partly because I didn't want to ruin the pizza by checking it all the time I got the following result:


This was a comparison test, which pan would make the better pizza. Well the truth is the crust made the better pizza.  The uncharred parts of the Grilled pizza had just the right texture as did the stone cooked pizza.    A picky person would notice that the grilled pizza had no browning on the cheese. As a confirmed picky person, I noticed it and had to stick with my favorite, pizza on a stone.


There is really something magical about a hot pizza fresh from the oven, the crust crisp on the exterior and soft and chewy on the interior.  Just amazing.


I mean really, look at it!



The Pampered Chef Pizza stone is the winner.
